Milk Frother

This prototype unit was the result of a specific project undertaken for a large customer of another company within the Onyx Holdings group. The objective was to determine the feasibility of dispensing heated frothy milk, without the aid of whisks and conventional boiling techniques. Another objective was to minimise waste and cleaning. The challenge was taken up by the Phi design team and a completely lateral thinking approach was adopted. With the use of microwaves and compressed air and the development of some key components within the milk flow path, the results were very successful. They had achieved results where others had failed.
