Payphone Reader

Working with an established customer, Phi adopted this product and sourced all of the component parts. This included overseeing the manufacture of die-casting tools and special paint processes to produce high volumes of these readers. The product was an add-on to a public telephone system that enabled the user to use pre-paid telephone cards. Short cycle times and fast turn around were essential parts of this process which included a 100% functionality test and strict visual and mechanical quality checks. Phi manufactured approximately 30,000 of these reader assemblies during its short product life.
