PDA KeyCase

This high tech, state-of-the-art product was designed for the customer by an external design team and underwent fine tuning for high volume manufacture with the assistance of the Phi engineering team. This fabric designed product enables a PDA to be used on a flat surface with full QWERTY keyboard actions. The PDA fits into a plastic cradle and switches on automatically when opened. This fabric keymat folds around the PDA when not in use to create a protective case. This revolutionary design required strict testing and quality control activities. Parts were sourced from several overseas countries. All products were tested 100% for functionality and performance and all results were recorded and stored. This KeyCase underwent strict product proving and testing prior to the commencement of high volume manufacturing. Packaging, handling and dealing with overseas distribution warehouses were all challenges met by the full project team at Phi. Phi manufactured approximately 90,000 units over a 12 month period.
